With over a decade of experience, Doug specializes in making skills development both engaging and effective. He blends real-world experience, humor, and concrete examples to help clients grasp abstract concepts in a relatable way. Having personally navigated many of the challenges he addresses in therapy, Doug creates a non-judgmental space where clients feel understood and supported. A Certified Addiction Specialist, he combines expertise with compassion to guide clients toward lasting change. Doug holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Virginia Tech and a Master’s in Social Work from USC. He is committed to making the journey toward healing both meaningful and enjoyable. Dr. Ruta began her career as a registered nurse before discovering her true calling in psychology. She earned her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Boston University and is certified by the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP). With experience in both Trauma Intervention of Orange County (TIP) and an accredited addiction treatment center, Dr. Ruta has developed a compassionate and creative approach to therapy. She specializes in helping clients navigate life’s losses and transitions, providing a supportive environment for healing and personal growth. Her holistic, client-centered approach empowers individuals to move through challenging times with resilience and clarity, helping them reclaim a sense of purpose and direction.
