Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is one of the most thoroughly researched treatments for people who feel their emotions are too intense to manage. Our 12-week DBT Skills Group teaches concrete, practical tools you can use right away, in a supportive group of people working on the same things.
You don't need to be a current Brain Repair client to join.
What you'll learn
The 12 weeks cover DBT's four core skill areas:
Mindfulness: noticing what's happening inside you without being swept away by it.
Distress tolerance: getting through a crisis without making things worse.
Emotion regulation: understanding your emotions and lowering how intense they get.
Interpersonal effectiveness: asking for what you need, setting boundaries and keeping relationships healthy.
Each session combines teaching, practice and discussion. You'll get home practice between sessions so the skills become habits.
How the group works
Length: 12 weeks.
Rolling admission: you can join at any time, so there's no long wait for a new cycle.
Family involvement: encouraged, so the people close to you can support the skills you're learning.
Schedule: call or text us for the current day and time.
Individual DBT sessions
The group works best alongside one-on-one sessions, where you apply the skills to your own situation. Individual sessions are optional but recommended. You can add them with a Brain Repair clinician or keep working with your current therapist.
Cost and insurance
The group is $100 per session. Brain Repair doesn't bill insurance directly. For PPO plans, we provide a superbill you can submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
Group leaders
Groups are led by Brain Repair's licensed and certified clinicians, who also provide individual DBT sessions. Visit our Meet the Team page to learn more about each of us.
